The Alma Arms is a welcoming a friendly community pub on the edge of Uckfield.
It's a Harveys Pub, so there's a nice selection on offer, plus other guest ales. I haven't treid th efood yet, but understand it's good and well priced.
The pub also has a large function room, so there is often big groups of people around which adds to the atmosphere. Uckfield station is handy if you're visiting the town by train.
