The Albion is the hardest to find of all the pubs in Ware, being a tiny place, hidden away on a residential street behind St Mary's Church. A part timbered 16th century property, this is a traditional style pub, with heavily patterned carpets, real fires and a convivial atmosphere. A gaggle of older locals were around the bar and the landlord was a friendly chap serving up a nicely kept pint of Adnam's. A 1970's style pub grub menu is available at lunchtimes (Ham, Egg & Chips, Jacket Potatoes etc), but this isn't a restaurant or a gastropub - just a proper pub. A perfect place to hide away in the winter for a couple of hours.

How to find the Albion pub

Crib Street runs off of Church street and lies behind St Mary's Church and the Tesco, just behind the High Street. You see see the pub from the Church, which might prove useful.
