All the feedback we have received so far says that the beer is top notch and the landlord a perfectionist - we will try to visit shortly!

Say what you want about Greene King pubs but this is a fantastic little example of what a local should be. Serving IPA and Abbot Ale with an occasional guest beer this is a friendly, welcoming little place. 2 Screens to show various sports and always a friendly member of staff or local to talk to.
Quite possibly the best pint of IPA i've ever had served anywhere the landlord is a perfectionist and will be sorely missed when he retires. Despite the features listed above there is no food served except during the occasional sporting event when burgers are available.
