The Yorkshire Terrier Inn one of a small handful of pubs run by York Brewery and is situated in the historic heart of the city. Sat behind (and above) the Brewery's gift shop, only a doorway to the side of the shop indicates it's existence. Inside, it does a pretty good job of looking like a proper older style pub, even though it was converted from a shop in 2004. The conservatory at the side lets some welcome light in, but otherwise the ambience is dark and cosy. Upstairs is lighter and brighter, with an eagle eyed view over the street below, but is conversely rather bland. Naturally, you'll also find a good selection of well kept York Brewery ales, all served up by friendly and cheerful staff.
