Bristol Cathedral

Bristol Cathedral is much more than a fascinating building; it is the centre of Bristol's history, civic life and culture. A church has probably stood on this site for over a thousand years but it came to prominence in 1140 when Robert Fitzhardinge founded the Abbey of St. Augustine. In 1868 plans were drawn up to rebuild the Nave to its medieval design and left us with the cathedral we have today.

Pubs are listed by their pint rating (highest first) and then in alphabetical order - the better pubs (in our opinion) appear at the top of the list.

If you spot a misplaced pub, you can tell us where it should be using this form. If you have any feedback on the maps, or anything else for that matter, please email editor@fancyapint.com.
