Savoy Theatre
The Savoy Theatre, which opened on 10 October 1881, was built by Richard D'Oyly Carte (1844-1901) on the site of the old Savoy Palace in London. It was originally intended as a showcase for the works of Gilbert and Sullivan, which became known as the Savoy Operas as a result. Later, the Savoy Hotel was built next to it.
Pubs are listed by their pint rating (highest first) and then in alphabetical order - the better pubs (in our opinion) appear at the top of the list.
If you spot a misplaced pub, you can tell us where it should be using this form. If you have any feedback on the maps, or anything else for that matter, please email editor@fancyapint.com.
