Crowders Well
RIP: Crowders Well
Our final review:
"Buried beneath the Brutalist bulk of the Barbican, this pub does a passable imitation of of a much older boozer. Once you’ve made your way inside, it’s a pretty comfortable city pub, upstairs (where you come in), the usual wooden tables and chairs and downstairs more of a loungey atmosphere. There’s a decent range of beers on the hand pumps - Morland Original, Pride, Adnams Oyster and Green King IPA last time we were in - and a decent range of wines. There’s a pretty comprehensive, mainly lunchtime, menu although food is also served at other times. Service is prompt and, as you’d expect, it gets pretty full at the usual commuting times, particularly towards the end of the week and the prices are what you’d expect for the City. A pretty reasonable place all in all. "
