Upon entering this establishment you can't fail to notice the cured hams, dried peppers and garlic bulbs hanging in the windows and behind the bar. It's a hint that if you're looking for a traditional British pub experience you may be disappointed. That said, if you're looking for a traditional Spanish eating and drinking experience you might well enjoy The Norfolk Arms (or should that be 'Los Brazos de Norfolk'?) The large single room is painted in airy colours, with high ceilings supported by ornate marble pillars. The large square bar in the centre of the room takes up quite a lot of the available floor space, and is surrounded by small tables. There were a couple of real ales on tap during our visit and scotch eggs were available if you looked hard enough. But you might prefer to order a glass of chilled manzanilla or a jug of sangria, perhaps accompanied by a plate of jamon or boquerones to snack on, and enjoy the warm Spanish welcome. If all gets a bit too much for anglophiles, there's a great chippy over the road. Whilst the food is really excellent here, 2 pints is probably an honest rating for this site as it's not the sort of pub to pop into for a pint of the frothy stuff.
