how to find it:

Turn left out of the tube and head up Blackfriars Road back towards the bridge. Walk up for a while and take the second left down Colombo Street, you'll soon see the pub on your right.

picture of Rose and CrownLovely, well-kept old boozer frequented by locals and effusing a local atmosphere. It's just off the beaten track, so it means it doesn't get too crowded. It serves a pretty good pint of Shepherd Neame and decent, cheap pub grub. We're not sure about opening times, we've yet to find it open at the weekend. But it's a very nice place to pop into during the week.
