This is much more restaurant than pub now, as you have to get past the reception desk in order to get a drink or eat. You can just get a drink here, as we discovered the last time we were in, but it's not the main reason for coming here. The food is pretty good, but the menu and prices are definitely aimed at diners. They still serve pints, with Leffe and Pride being the nearest thing to real ale in the place, and a selection of lagers. They are very proud of their drinks, and so charge accordingly. There is a comfy sofa area on one side of the bar and a modern fireplace, but one gets the feeling that the drinks only areas are mainly for people waiting for tables rather than a welcoming bar. Though it looks like the locals get away with coming here for a relaxed lunch and a coffee, it doesn't seem like the place just anyone can drop in and chill for an afternoon.

Eating at The Ebury ... we last ate here on 18/2/2006

Not pub food, but more upmarket fare, this restaurant with a bar is a great place to have lunch before shopping. Excellent menu and not a bad wine list either. No complaints from any of our party and all the plates were empty when they were cleared - the mussels and dressed crab were excellent, as was the pork belly. First rate.
