Eating at TheMarquis of Westminster ... we last ate here on 27/03/2007
Fish finger sandwich and fries was a reasonable at under a fiver. The fries were excellent but the fish fingers were rather reminiscent of the ones found in budget supermarkets.

One London boozer bucking the trend of falling trade is the Marquis of Westminster, a gastro pub that doubles as a "local" with its own loyal following and passing trade from neighbouring three star hotels. Experienced bar staff provide snappy table service and friendly banter. Blackboard menu changes monthly but offers excellent value: confit duck with butter bean puree and fig jus(£12.95),and old favourites: fish & chips (£10.95) 10oz Rib eye steak and fries(£14.95). Well stocked bar has Timothy Taylor Landlord, Sharp's Doombar & London Pride, and guest beers, with a long wine list to suit all pockets. Contemporary music suits eclectic tastes and foot tapping tunes get louder as the evening draws on, making the pub one of the livelier venues in Pimlico.posted by rlp - Sunday 28th December, 2008, 6:20pm

Forget this place. Never have I been in a pub where the bar staff have bossed groups of patrons. I had the pleasure of witnessing them relocate patrons to one corner of the pub leaving 80% of the tables and floor space empty under the watchful eye of the warders behind the bar. Am I allowed to sip my beer? Who do these people think they are?3 comments on this pub - why not add your own?
