Hidden just a few minutes away from the bustle of central Greenwich, the Ashburnham Arms is an excellent place to draw breath over a pint or two. It's situated on a quiet street in a very pleasant part of Greenwich and has a fine beer garden if you fancy a drink outside. It was given a makeover some time ago - farewell bar billiards table, hello arty prints and loungey decor. The standard of the refit is shoddy in places and, apart from the fact that we preferred its previous look, we think Ashburnham deserves better. Nonetheless, the usual range of excellent Shepherd Neame beers on tap remains and the Ashburnham is still a good pub.
