It looks a bit dingy on the outside and the surrounding area is a bit off-putting, but don't let that worry you. This is an excellent local. It has an interesting range of beers on the hand pumps and an extensive, value for money, food menu. It also offers big screen TV, pool, a function room and, curiously, a juke box which wasn't switched off even during the footy (surprisingly, it didn't spoil anything for anybody). An interesting mix of locals frequent the place and the service is prompt, friendly and attentive. Every so often a coachload of tourists pops into the place, we're not sure why, maybe it's something to do with Bow Bells (except they're in the Wren church in Cheapside in the City), nevertheless the tourists like it too. Anyway, they won't be disappointed, it's a top boozer.
