Street View - click to see the area around the Bow Bells
It looks a bit dingy on the outside and the surrounding area is a bit off-putting, but don't let that worry you - this is still an excellent local. It has an interesting range of beers on the hand pumps and an extensive, value-for-money, food menu. It also offers big screen TV, pool, a function room and, curiously, a juke box which wasn't switched off even during the footy. Surprisingly, it didn't spoil anything for anybody. It has an interesting mix of locals that frequent the place and the service is prompt, friendly and attentive. Every so often a coach load of tourists pops into the place, we're not sure why, maybe it's something to do with Bow Bells - except they're in the Christopher Wren church in Cheapside in the City. Well, whatever the reason, the tourists like it too, and they won't be disappointed, as it's a top boozer.
