Come out of the tube and cross the road. Head right and then immediately left down Lancaster Road. All Saints road is the third left turn and the pub is just ahead of you on the left at the junction with Tavistock Road.

picture of Pelican
The Pelican just doesn't seem to be able to settle down, an organic pub one minute, a gastro pub the next. Only eighteen months ago we popped in and were pleased and impressed with the decent range of booze on offer, the good service and the relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Now it seems there's been a bit of a downturn, the choice is more restricted, there's hardly anyone in the place and the few that were there just seem to be a bunch of the bar person's friends. Previously we'd said "After a bit of an up-and-down existence over the last few years, we hope this is the incarnation that sticks" - sadly it seems it didn't work out. Perhaps the junction of All Saints and Tavistock Road is jinxed.

has been recently refurbished, and well, too. Its a great looking and feeling pub, pity about the food and the staff- i've walked out of here twice after the bar staff have walked off to 'change a barrel' and not come back and served other people. I have also been abused by a barman for having the cheek to return a white wine spritzer i had bought for my wife which was mixed with lemonade. I had Nachos there last night which consisted of corn chips heated in the microwave, with a bowl of salsa on the side. The only upside is that most of us locals give it a wide berth for these reasons, which means when the metroploitan or the badger is packed you can always get a table. The owner really should lift his game, this pub has so much potential.
only one comment, so far on this pub - why not add your own?
