The Upper Street branch of Bierodrome has recently been given a bit of a sprucing up. It subsequently feels more spacious and comfortable than before, even if there's less seating, now they've swapped the chairs for couches. Ostensibly it's not changed too dramatically - after all, they have a format that works, so why change it? However, this reviewer can remember when this branch of Bierodrome boasted literally hundreds of different beers. Sadly, since then, while everyone else has been playing catch-up, Bierodrome have been getting lazy. There's still a good selection of beer, but nothing you can't find in any other Belgium beer emporium. Considering the price of the beers, the bar snacks seemed cheap; 1.50 for a bowl fries is good in this part of the world, even if they were a bit soggy. Still, the clientele was mixed, the atmosphere relaxed and the music unobtrusive. There are worse in N1.
