how to find it:
Farringdon: exit tube, turn right down Cowcross Street, and then right up Farringdon Road. Walk all the way up the hill to the junction with Clerkenwell Road and then turn left down Clerkenwell Road. After a few minutes you'll see the pub on your right hand side. Chancery Lane: Head up Gray's Inn Road, before taking a right at the junction with Clerkenwell Road. The pub will be ahead of you on your left hand side.

Despite having a painted red exterior and a modern stripped out interior, this one still has a pub feel to it. That's probably due to the mix of punters you get here and the decent pool table, so much so that you may miss the modern art on the wall. The selection behind the bar is more than adequate and the atmosphere lively, with the acoustics seemingly turning conversation from even a small amount of punters into a cacophony of noise. It's a little bit of a walk from Chancery Lane or Farringdon station but worth a look if you're in the area, especially as its local competition is a pub-cum strip club. It gets pretty packed on a Friday at kicking out time in the nearby offices.
