how to find it:

From Wimbledon tube, turn right and walk up Wimbledon Hill Road, and carry on when it becomes Wimbledon High Street. At the Common, turn left and follow the south side of the Common until the turning on your right down Crooked Billet. From Wimbledon tube, it's about a 15-20 min walk.

One of two neighbouring pubs on the edge of Wimbledon Common, the Hand in Hand is rustic in appearance (it was once a bakehouse) and traditional in feel. There's a bit more space inside this one than first impressions would have you believe, and its low-roofed interior has a cosy feel which is ideal for the winter months (the summer finds drinkers exiting this one for a patch of grass in front of the pub). A pleasantly unpretentious pub, but one which also lays an interesting range of entertainments to pull in the punters - acoustic nights, poker evenings, even Pilates were advertised when we last looked in.
