Leinster Terrace has a group of independent shops and restaurants, so it's perhaps not too much of a surprise that the local pub has a similar, slightly free-spirited air. Saying that, we don't often come across pubs in such touristy parts of town (like Bayswater) that have a devoted band of regulars, nor that have such reasonably priced food (£4.50 for Sunday lunch here). This one also promotes its selection of pies, and although we didn't indulge, we can certainly say the beers hit the spot (Pride, Landlord and the guest when we visited, Wainright's). It's a decent enough spot for a couple of jars: the sort of non-showy, dependable boozer you'd love as a local.
