If you remember Menswear, chances are you've had a few jars in the Good Mixer; in the early 1990s, it was the Brit pop crowd's boozer of choice. Things have moved on since then, but the Good Mixer has hardly changed. It's a bare place with a pretty limited choice of beers - Old Speckled Hen was the only one on when we were in last - relying more on its reputation than anything tangible to attract the young indie punters (and their slightly older counterparts). The pool tables at the back are often occupied, but it might be worth dropping in if you fancy a game, or want to relive those heady days of Blur vs. Oasis.
