Location goes against this one as much as anything, but it doesn't stop it being a fair example - if a little bit small - of a Fuller's Ale & Pie house. It does a fair job at keeping the local workers and fed and watered, but It's proximity to the Tower of London (doesn't the name give it away?) does mean you get clumps of tourists who stumble in for a half of shandy and go on their way again, which isn't a problem when the weather's good, as the drinkers spill out onto the pavements surrounding the pub. Reproductions of famous paintings adorn the walls, including Holbein's portrait of the notorious Henry Tudor, amongst others. As the name suggests, it could have been a tacky tourist pub, but thankfully Fullers steered clear of that and the result is pretty passable, if no great surprise.
