how to find it:

Leave St. Paul's tube and head towards Cheapside take the first left and head up Foster Lane, you'll soon see the place on your left.

We know Davy's is a wine bar really, but you can get pints in here, hence its inclusion. The old City PipeVaults was a traditional spit and sawdust wine bar just a short distance away from the current one. Redevelopment meant they had to move it, so they went for a more modern look, trouble is they didn't completely change the furniture so it all looks a bit incongruous. You can get Davy's wallop etc and the Guinness is OK, but you wouldn't really seek this place out for the drink. It's a typical City bar, full of people unaware (or couldn't care less) about anyone else on the planet and gets more strident towards the end of the week.
