how to find it:

From the station: take the Shaftesbury Avenue exit from the station and then the first left into Great Windmill Street. Go all the way to the top, across Brewer Street and turn left. Great Pulteney Street is the next right. The pub is at the other end of the road on the left hand corner.

Fullers pub that describes itself as a 'brasserie' and is one of their more upmarket efforts, which probably explains the limited selection of real ales on tap. Lager, lager, and loads of Stella, though. This is more a bar than a pub and is very popular with a bar-type crowd - its one of the more busy places in the area and feels like Cup Final on Friday nights, with everyone clustered outside the pub on the pavements. This place hasn't really changed much in recent years, and that's hardly surprising as the clientele seem to be happy with it the way it is. Not one to go out of your way for.
