If you're after getting blitzed on breezers, you might not get this far down King Street - you'll probably have been sucked into the Wetherspoons Edwards Hop Pole nexus. If you're after something a little bit pleasanter then give this one a look. Not always you get a pub that plays The Velvet Underground's 'Venus In Furs', but we heard that one here. Doubtful that's a regular occurrence, fair more reliant are the usual Young's beers (well up to scratch) and some serviceable pub food. Certainly a pub which does a job, especially if you're off to the Lyric Theatre across the road.
