Sitting opposite Battersea Park train station, the Masons Arms is an upmarket gastropub/bar in an area still predominantly filled with local boozers. As such, with a young, lively and captive audience, it can get pretty busy here at the usual times. It's a rather stark interior though, with a scattering of 12" records stuck to the walls being the only thing adding character - it doesn't really feel like a warm comfortable place to stay beyond a couple of drinks. Speaking of drinks, as you'd imagine there's a good range of premium lagers coupled with an interesting food menu, offset against service which can nicely be described as 'average'. As gastropubs go, this its one variant we're not too keen on and personally think its starting to look vaguely dated.
