A very nice pub. We ate there last night and the food and service was excellent. Good choice of menu and a good choice of ale. The 'Weasel' bitter is especially worth a go.
As an added bonus, the Assistant Manageress is friendly and incredibly beautiful. Lily Allen fans will be most impressed, as she looks a bit like her, but more attractive.posted by Jim - Sunday 17th February, 2008, 5:20pm
Absolutely shocking service. We waited 1 and a half hours and repeatedly asked where our food was. Eventually were told the kitchen had forgotten our order.
Waitress was apologetic but frankly, a bit rubbish.
I won't be going back here.
If you want great food and service visit the Prince Regent 5 mins down the road...posted by KC82 - Thursday 2nd August, 2007, 9:24am
It's a thumbs up for the fantastic new Florence. The important stuff: great selection of drinks, reasonable menu and bearable prices. What a civilised, relaxing and enjoyable place to sit and drink. Lots of outdoor space which is a big plus point on lazy summer evenings. Airy and spacious indoors too, winter will be a little less gloomy this year. Service was slow, at tables and at the bar, but hey, it's early days. My only real gripe is this: dear smokers, please don't huddle outside the doors, and please don't throw fag buts all over the pavement.
