how to find it:

Easiest way to get there is to leave King's Cross from the King's Cross Thameslink station, turn right and then right again down King's Cross Road. You'll see the pub on the corner of Britannia Street after a few minutes.

picture of Golden Lion Like a growing number of pubs in the area, this one's dusted itself down and donned a trendier mantle in preparation for when the King's Cross Eurostar connection is finished. We can remember it as a wedge shaped pub with plenty of space and not enough tables but since the refit a flip though a brochure has resulted in plenty of loungey furnishings coming in to fill the gaps. Perhaps it's rather generic of modern pub conversions, but it does a fair job (even opening at 9am for breakfast). Decent enough food and drink and a handy one before a gig at the Scala.
