One of the first pubs to serve Thai food and it it's still going strong. Which is no surprise as it's cheap, plentiful and decent quality. Be warned, you'll only get your table for an hour, such is the demand.

Yesterday I spent an all too brief couple of hours at the Churchill Arms. This is easily one of London's 10 best pubs. The beer is consistently well served, the thai food is great value, there is a real buzzy atmosphere and if you can grab a seat, there is some great people-watching to be had. Wish some other publicans would pay a visit and try to reproduce the experience in their own places.posted by hogstrom_orient - Wednesday 20th January, 2010, 2:17am
Favourite London pub. Friendly staff, football on the telly and you could spend hours studying the memorabilia, including loads devoted to County Clare GAA.posted by Carolina_Irons - Saturday 12th September, 2009, 7:43pm
We enjoyed the thai food. It was a good change of pace.posted by david ginsberg - Monday 6th April, 2009, 3:42pm
great pub, it looks good and serves great beer and food. It gets very lively and is open a bit later at the weekends. It does get a bit crowded at times but that is a sign how good it is.posted by bs100 - Saturday 2nd February, 2008, 2:02am
I had an absolutely terrible experience in this pub today. It was my last day at work around the corner and I decided to meet a few friends in this bar. We got there at 15:00, and it got to 17:30 and the staff went around and put a reserved sign on every table from 18:00. What sort of proper pub reserves every table on a Friday night without letting people know earlier than 30 mins before they are to get chucked off?! Have to say that because of this the staff must be considered absolutely terrible, whoever owns the place must be a bit of a joke, and I will never go there again. What a shame.showing the most recent 5 of 7 comments on this pub
