picture of Ship Tavern Small pub frequented by those who know the shortcut that misses out the corner where Holborn station is. Amazingly it's been refurbished relatively recently but the designers have eschewed the tired "battered furniture and bare boards" look and redecorated it to look... just like a proper pub! For this alone it's worth visiting; when you add in well kept draft beers, friendly service, a relaxed atmosphere and the fact you can usually find a seat in here, it becomes high up on the list if you're in this area.
