Just as the Wenlock Arms is the real ale mecca in north London here's its equivalent south of the river. Going by the beer mats plastered round the pub they've had more ales guesting here than you'll probably taste in your life. You'll always be guaranteed an excellent pint - there were five real ales on the pumps when we last looked in, well kept and rather tasty. As you've probably guessed, the food is of the traditional variety and the service is warm and friendly. Frankly, the smell of Sunday Roast was nearly overpowering when we were last in, and we nearly got trampled by the locals coming in for their lunch. The beer alone would make this one worth it, but the whole package makes it definitely one to make the trip for.
