Living up to its name, this place is not the sort of pub you'd expect to find off the busy Wandsworth Road. Being on the edge of Larkhall Park adds a certain rural touch which the cosy size and amiable atmosphere of the pub build on. The usual Young's fayre (and interior) is on offer, though no sign of their seasonal beers being on tap. The back bar is adorned by caricatures whom we take to be locals (we're sure we matched up the picture to the drinker for at least one customer). It's the sort of neighbourly pub where knocking out illustrations of your fellow drinkers doesn't seem out of the ordinary. A little charmer in an otherwise dour environment.
