how to find it:
The pub is at the junction of Lee Road with the Lee High Road. The following buses all stop close to the pub: 122, 178, 202, 261, 321. Either that, or walk up from Lee train station (5 mins or so) or down from Blackheath train station (10-15 mins).

Looking spick and span from the outside - particularly compared to the boarded up New Tiger's Head across the road - the Old Tiger's Head serves the need of a good few of the local residents. The staples of many a South London pub - a big screen for the sport and a pool table at the side (rather close to the front door, so careful on entering) - are all present and correct, and there's also a beer garden for quieter moments (and a puff or two). Probably we'd have got more out of this one if we'd have been locals, but as a thirst quencher on the Lee High Road, it does the job.
