picture of Ferry House
The ferry to Greenwich has gone but the Ferry House still stands. It may appear a rather rough hewn locals' pub from the outside, but it still offers a touch more colour and atmosphere than the modern bars around Canary Wharf. Here you sense 'redesigning the bar' means getting in a few new CDs for the jukebox. Apart from a new TV, the pub appears unchanged from the days when cargo ships were offloading at Millwall dock. It also sports a pub rarity - an old 'London Fives' dart board. A genial barman is on hand to pull the pints and banter with the regulars.
