how to find it:

Camden Town: Cross the road and turn down the Parkway passing the Dublin Castle etc. Keep an eye out on your left for the turning down Delancey Street. Take that and then you'll see Mornington Crescent on your right, and you should see the pub beer garden quickly after. Mornington Crescent: Exit tube, bear right and walk across Hampstead Road to Mornington Crescent, walk round the crescent and take the turning on your right leading to Mornington Terrace. Head up Mornington Terrace and you'll find the pub.

This large pub and larger beer garden probably benefit from not being too close to the hurly-burly that is Camden Market. It's been modernised inside, with zebra-stripe wallpaper and curtains of hanging beads amongst the soft furnishings. It feels more designed, though, rather than just a bunch of furniture bought at a junk sale, and this helps give it a relaxed atmosphere. It's obviously working hard to appeal to a certain clientele, with fresh cut flowers scattered around and a decent mostly new world wine list. You can still get a decent pint here, with a couple of ales on the hand pumps (kept to Cask Marque standards), and a selection of continental beers and lagers. There's a reasonably priced menu, unpretentious pub food, and the prices overall are pretty reasonable - this may be a conscious effort to provide good value in difficult times, but possibly just a sign of well-run pub. If you fancy something more relaxed, this one never seems as manic as the pubs on Camden High Street, and it's probably right up your alley.
