In the main, this one's a sports bar, but it's one that can be worth a look even if there isn't a big game on. The atmosphere in it fluctuates accordingly: we've seen it heaving and lairy but also relaxed and laid-back. Size wise, it's a long, thin pub with an outdoor space at the back (make for that bit if the sun's out and you want to avoid Sky Sports). Inside, there's plenty of screens so you won't miss / can't avoid (delete where appropriate) the action. As for the drinks, this is mainly a premium brand lagers sort of place. Food, on the other hand, is rather tapas-y (or it was when we were last in). The staff are friendly, the locals are a banterish crowd, and overall this is the best of the Palmers Green pubs.
