picture of The Camden ArmsWe hope you'll enjoy a better experience than Lieutenant-Colonel Fawcett did at the Camden Arms, which based on our visits shouldn't pose a problem. Fawcett was brought here in 1873 after the last fatal duel to be fought in England and died upstairs from the wound inflicted by his brother-in-law. There have been one or two changes since then, with the result being a sleek, modern pub which has been opened out into one room. The large bar dominates the room, with small groups of seating sprinkled around the edges, and a section to the side ideal for larger groups. Entertainment at weekends usually comes from DJ's, there is a fairly extensive cocktail menu, and generally it's a good place to sit back and relax. It is tucked down a side street but is easy to find and there are several other decent pubs nearby. There are certainly enough options to warrant a wander up Camden Road rather than cramming into a place in the centre of Camden.
