how to find it:

From Covent Garden exit right onto James Street and walk through to the other side of the piazza. On the otherside you should find Tavistock Street which runs parallel. Over to the left, Hops! is on the corner of Tavistock and Burleigh.

picture of Hops!The overuse of exclamation marks is a common failing in modern English usage and there should be no exceptions when it comes to naming a bar. Unwarranted over-enthusiasm aside, this is an odd little place tucked in between the Strand and the south east side of Covent Garden, away from the natural tourist routes. There's drinks offers galore, a large footy screen and a pool table to keep you occupied, while the decor is best described as functional. Not one to go crazy about, it seems to be less busy than others in the area and is consequently worth seeking out if other nearby places are full to capacity.
