how to find it:

Turn right out of Fulham Broadway tube and carry on following the fork right (off the main road). When you get to the end of Vanston Place, you should see the pub across the main road in front of you.

The Cock and Hen was turned around over the last couple of years, from a bit of a dismal experience to, arguably, becoming the best pub in the area in the process. So, when we heard it had been taken over by (the ever expanding) Young's empire earlier this year, we feared for its future. Safe to say though, the new Cock & Hen has continued in the same vein as the previous pub. Sure, there're a couple more gilt edges to the furnishings (as is the wont of the current spate of Young's refurnishings) but the layout and look of the pub hasn't dramatically changed. And, even though the personnel may have changed, the friendliness of the bar staff remains. The real changes are the beers on offer and a wider - if slightly more expensive - pub grub menu. Changes, however, that don't detract from its well-deserved three pint rating.
