picture of The BellDespite the name, Bell Green isn't a pastoral idyll in SE26; in fact its major landmarks (disused Gas holders and a giant Sainsbury's) tell the tale of post-industrial Britain. Given those changes, it's perhaps a surprise to find the local pub remains pretty unchanged. Most notable are the period furnishings (including some old-time dividers), closely followed by the cheery staff. Though the two pool tables seem slightly hemmed in, they don't distract too much from proceedings. With a fireside for winter nights, this is a perfectly decent little boozer.
