We used to think of this as one of Bromley's better pubs, probably because it's one of the few that haven't changed much over the years. A recent spruce up has given it more of a bar feel - stripped walls and posh plants. This said, it still has more of a pub feel than most other central Bromley pubs. It's a pub that's attracted a "younger" crowd, (although they haven't pushed out the older drinkers), but without being too busy or rowdy. It's a nice and chilled, friendly atmosphere - fellow drinkers as well as the staff. It used to be a rockers pub years ago, and there's a few hangers-on from then, who we guess hold out for the rock night every few Saturdays. They also hold gigs of young local live punk and Ska bands - although not frequent, these nights are definitely well worth attending. Another thing to note is that they don't do any live sport - probably one of the very few pubs in Bromley that never does. The garden is a nice feature and they have barbecues in the summer. Also, they're open from 7-9 AM for breakfast, useful to know if you use Bromley North Station, which is right opposite.
