picture of Bull
The Bull is a refreshingly old-fashioned pub which does the basics well. It's an old turn of the century Courage pub with a two-room bar, fires and hunting prints on the walls. Being located on busy Shooters Hill Road doesn't seem to bother this place; in fact, it's very handy if you want to visit Oxlea Woods or Severndroog Castle, and attracts a regular crowd of locals. The Bull has recently expanded its offer of real ale and also does bar food now.

The public bar caters for the pool and sky sports crowd whilst the saloon bar has no music or TV and is busy with a thriving local crowd. Contrary to the last review there are now up to 5 real Ales available in good condition due to the efforts of an enthusiastic landlord and a high proportion of beer drinkers amongst the regulars. A pub that serves it's local community well and is highly recommended.
