sorry no picture of this pub
This is a solid red brick 1970s building, with a dull wooden interior, that replaced an older pub of the same name nearby. It's a fairly undistinguished two-bar establishment, with only minimal differences between the saloon and public bars. That said, when we visited (not, it should be said, on any occasion of particular national fervour), there were no England flags visible in the saloon, and a grand total of 30 in the public bar. This isn't, exactly, a bad pub, but it is, as Bongwater once sang, remarkably unremarkable.
