Huge place down in Bromley South where you tend to find chain pubs that are more like bars. This is a prime example, recently changed to a Lloyds Bar, JD Wetherspoon's new sideline where they have added screens and music to a selection of their original venues. In this particular place we think it is a slight improvement. The place generally has a much better feel to it and the lighting is much less offensive, it used to be far too bright - which just didn't work in a place so big. It now seems slightly cosier, and not quite so open. The food is more or less the same as the old Wetherspoon, pretty average but cheap. The drinks are very cheap, as ever, with a good range of bitters and guest ales. However, despite the changes it still lacks atmosphere and remains to be the place to go in Bromley if you've just turned 18 and think you're going somewhere really cool.

real ale - regular guest beers
