Having settled in over the last 18 months, this one is now firmly in the gastro zone which, while not always a success, seems to work well enough here. The locals like it and we have to admit that it doesn't have the pretentiousness (or should we say 'as much'?) of other places in the area. The menu looks good, if the prices are on a par with the neighbourhood. The interior isn't that huge, and is laid out with the familiar gastro furnishings of leather sofas and armchairs, chandeliers and exclusive wallpaper. As for the drink on offer, a lengthy wine list looked worthy of investigation, but Timothy Taylor Landlord is the only ale on tap for the real ale drinkers. While not necessarily one to cross London for, it's worth a look if you're in the area.
