The pub is midway between Nunhead and Peckham Rye BR stations. From Nunhead it's a longer along Evelina Road until it becomes Nunhead Road.

Café Bar is what it says outside and Café Bar is pretty much what it delivers inside. Local art on the walls, slouchable sofas and an over reliance on the music of KT Tunstall, this one does its best to attract the attentions of the younger locals. Advertised too were the enticements of a Thursday night quiz and a Saturday night DJ. All in all, it's a rather inoffensive place, and certainly a relaxing spot for a couple of drinks, but yet the impression was of a pub whose thunder has been stolen by The Rye down the road.
