how to find it:
From Clapham Junction, exit via the main shopping centre exit, turn left and walk down past The Falcon pub. Turn left here down Falcon Road and keep going. You'll pass a Wetherspoon and across from that Falcon Road becomes Battersea High Street. Keep walking down Battersea High Street and you'll find this one once on your right as you come out onto the pedestrian square.

Poor Raven. Despite a proliferation of nearby trendy flats and being only one minute from the impressive Thames shoreline, Raven is empty. It maybe the midweek timing, but the restaurants and cafes over the road on the pretty square are busy, as are the pubs on Battersea High Road. Perhaps the amateurishly written signs didn't help. Or the huge screen, for lack of any footy that day, showing stock car racing. Unsurprisingly, the pleasant girl behind the bar looked bored. The interior is All Bar Oneish, but not annoyingly so and there's some couches and plants offsetting the harshness. Perhaps it gets busier on weekends. It needs to.
