Pubs next to football grounds are rarely the most welcoming places (think of seats bolted to the floor so they can't be thrown at your head), but a trip to the New Inn is a pleasant exception. One of four pubs situated near the corners of Brentford's Griffin Park, it would also make a good venue on a non-match day. The staff were friendly, there is a beer garden at the rear and there are numerous TV's to catch the other scores. Also, the locals appear to happily mix with the away fans. The pub's only problem is that the bar is so close to the door so it can get quite congested, but if you can force your way in there is a more spacious room on the far side.
