Most people have heard of this pub, thanks to an infamous incident in 1966 and some even make a trip to see it just for that reason. When they get here, they will find a decent, ordinary boozer that serves the locals well, but nothing out of the ordinary and certainly no bloodstains - or stains of any kind, for that matter. The fayre on offer is pretty unremarkable, OK but nothing special and the accommodation offers a little bit of something for everybody - you can choose from beer garden, conservatory, comfy chairs, bar stools etc. Popular with locals, pop in if you're in the area, but it's not worth a special effort to get here.
