how to find it:

From Farringdon tube, turn right and then right at Farringdon Road. Go up Farringdon Road and keep your eye out for the turning on your right for Bowling Green Lane. Once you're on it you can't miss the pub

For whatever reason, this one's been a tricky spot over recent years and whilst there's been some very successful nearby gastropubs (The Eagle, The Coach and Horses), this one has never quite managed to share in their success. Now closed, we'll be intrigued to see if this one gets reborn as a pub (again).
