Not really near a tube, not really near a train station. Your best bet is the Number 1 bus

picture of Queen VictoriaA pub of such a vintage that the sign outside lists 'day trips' as one of the facilities on offer. We're not sure if their charabanc still heads off to Margate; it certainly didn't the day we were in, as the pub was packed. Venerable bar staff keep an eye on proceedings, as the punters watch the sport on TV or indulge in a bit of it themselves (pool table at the front, dart board at the side). One for the locals perhaps, but judging from our visit newcomers won't have any problems (aside from finding a seat).
